Flavio Hessee de Meira Penna, Managing Partner
Flavio has extensive experience managing start-ups (Globalstar, Openvision, TV Cidade) and restructurings like Gazeta Mercantil, Minupar and others. He worked as an Investment Banker at Goldman, Sacks & Co. in New York and BFC and V,B&P in Brazil. In these positions, and in others, he worked in M&A , restructurings and funding operations. He participated actively in the privatization program, advising petrochemical companies like Ipiranga, Hoechst and Union Carbide. He was also CEO of Globalstar do Brasil, Eden Sistemas de Computação and others. Flavio is a graduate in Business Administration at the Fundação Getúlio Vargas, with an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
Kerginaldo Martins, Managing Partner
Kerginaldo is a lawyer and Investment Banker with local and international experience. He worked for two years in New York with Kohlberg, Kravis, and Roberts (“KKR”) where he participated in two Leveraged Buyouts in Europe: France Telecom (1998) and Metalgesteschalft (1998) and two years in the Private Equity Group of Goldman Sachs where he participated in fundraising and investments in a series of funds including the Blackstone Group and KKR. At Barbosa, Mussnich and Aragão (“BMA”), he participated in the financial and shareholding restructuring of Organizações Globo and structured an investment fund for the infrastructure assets of the Andrade Gutierrez group. He was team leader for the Raisio acquisition of Rhôdia’s Brazilian assets. Kerginaldo is a graduate in economics from the University of California at Berkeley and a law graduate from the Universidade Federal do Ceará. He has an MBA from the Wharton School of Business, and an LLM (Masters in Law) from NYU with specialization in M&A and restructurings.
